WE ARE LAUNCHING OUR HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL
SCHOOL RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM.
Mt. NAEBA is one of the most famous ski and snowboard resorts in Japan with both a long history and a strong reputation. It has been the venue for numerous international events including the Alpine Skiing World Cup. Naeba is located in the southern area of Yuzawa town in Niigata Prefecture.
Naeba is one of the only resorts in Japan with two or more Gondolas meaning less queuing time, rapid turn around from base to mountain top. Naeba, Tashiro, Kagura and Mitusmata are connected ski areas which together form the 3rd largest ski resort in Japan.
Naeba and Kagura combine to form the wider Mt. Naeba area and travel between the two snow parks is made possible by Japan’s longest (and previously the world’s longest) ‘Dragondola’ gondola, which stretches an amazing 5,481m between the resorts. In late July, Naeba is also the venue the for the annual Fuji Rock Festival with excess of 100,000 people attending each year.
GETTING TO NAEBA
Mt. Naeba ski resort is a 23km drive south of Yuzawa Town and 184 km northwest of Tokyo. Tokyo is serviced by 2 airports – Haneda and Narita. Shinkansen Bullet Trains run a regular schedule from Tokyo Main Station using the Joetsu Line taking approx 90min.
TRANSPORTATION FROM TOKYO
We can offer private transportation from either Haneda or Narita Airport with a private bus (3-4h journey depending on traffic and weather conditions).
WHAT IS ICAMP ?
iCamp Thailand was established in 2016 and opened the first purpose-built residential camp in Kanchanburi, Thailand.
We have been providing residential trips to international schools since our opening.
iCamp Japan was created to ease the burden for international schools as the task of organising a ski trip can be a daunting one. We want to help as many schools as possible to be able to offer ski trips to their students during the Winter season.
We can offer our completed risk assessments or give you advice on how to complete your specific risk assessment and health & safety paperwork.
iCAMP JAPAN HOTEL
iCamp Japan is the right choice for schools who are searching for a combination of snow excitement, fun, peace and health and safety requirements up to international school standards. Our hotel can accommodate 85 students comfortably. We are conveniently located only 800m from the Naeba ski slopes and in the heart of Naeba town.
The ambience of iCamp Japan is reflected in every aspect to ensure that your students are fully engaged both on and off the slopes. Unwinding after a long hard day on the snow slopes, iCamp believes it is important to keep the students occupied in their recreation time allowing them to form closer bonds with their fellow students.

Snowshoe Walking Tour
YOU CAN ENJOY A STROLL IN SNOW IN “KANJIKI”.
Known as one of the snowiest regions of Japan, in winter Niigata receives snow to a depth that easily exceeds human height.
On joining the tour, you’ll get to wear traditional kanjiki, made with wood and ropes.
This was Uonuma’s first strawberry picking farm.
Being able to pick strawberries in heavy snowy areas such as this makes it quite a unique and unusual facility to visit.
There is a sense of freshness to this place thanks to their raised hydroponic cultivation.
Their most popular product is the large and sweet Niigata limited echigo hime strawberries, which are grown in a winter greenhouse.
